Beach Cottage Fridays: Handcrafted Soap & Beach Bags
My friend Barbie is really something. She’s beautiful, stylish, a talented businessperson, a Mom to three boys (including twins), totally driven and dedicated, more fun than a barrel of monkeys … but most important: she’s REAL. I got to know her during our single years in Washington, DC but since then we’ve both relocated, opened businesses and started families. (She was always the one coming up with the awesome business ideas).
Today Barbie runs her business The Gourmet Soap Market both online and at her beautiful storefront at 37917 Vine Street in Willoughy, Ohio. A local Cleveland news crew toured her store in March, and she is featured in this week’s edition of Woman’s Day Magazine (available on newsstands Monday). I truly don’t know how she does it all. She’s a supermom and a younger, hipper version of Martha Stewart. I’m so proud to know her! Her store is bursting at the seams with delicious scents, bright colors and FUN. Her main product line of handcrafted soaps is all-natural and cruelty-free – so safe for you, your children and the environment. She features usable gifts of all kinds: diaper cakes, crayons, cutesy pillows – you name it.
I’ve given Gourmet Soap Market cupcake soap and scented lotions as girly birthday gifts (delicious smelling, zero calories and appropriately themed). I order online, B packages and ships – what could be simpler?
Gourmet Soap Market’s “A BEACH in my Shower” is her #1 selling collection & a must for beach cottages (click the link to visit the BEACH page at her online store and score some for yourself).
She has awesome vegan options and even a men’s line including charcoal and beer soaps! Check out her adorable window display:
For this week’s Beach Cottage Fridays, I’m featuring her cool beach bags made from 100% recycled sails. If you are lucky enough to live in the Cleveland area, stop by her storefront and pick one up. Click here to pick one up from her online store. She carries all sizes, from large totes to wristlets. You go, girl.
